Hot taps service provides a safe, reliable, and effective means to create a branch connection on ”live” piping and pressure vessels without the interruption of service in that section of pipe or vessel. Since the job is carried out online, hot taps service allows clients to maintain production and avoid costly outages while enhancing their facility production capacity.

While hot taps are frequently used as a tie-in point for new piping, they are also performed as a means to deploy inline instrumentation such as thermowell and panametric flow meters. Completing a hot tap is also the first step in performing a line stop job.

With full support from Team Industrial Services, our hot taps service has the capability to make branch connection into operating piping system, heat exchanger, vessels, columns and tanks. They can be performed on lines from ½” to 48” in diameter with temperature from cryogenic to 1,3500F (7300C) and on pressure from vacuum to 4,300 psig (296 bar).
